Clare Kristin Miller is a principal in the firm. Prior to joining the firm she was in
private practice in New York. She has practiced family law for 20 years. In addition to
her extensive trial experience, her practice includes negotiating divorce, property,
support, custody, pre-nuptial, and post-nuptial agreements. She is also a Certified Public
Accountant. She has taught courses on family law and tax issues relating to divorce, and
taught divorce litigation to accountants, attorneys, and mediators.
Ms. Miller graduated from Georgetown University, School of Business (BSBA), where
she majored in accounting. She received her law degree from Hofstra University School
of Law (JD). Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Miller was the recipient of the
American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Outstanding Academic Achievement in
Family Law award. Her continuing education and training have been in family law,
business valuation, mediation and collaborative law.
Ms. Miller is admitted to practice in New York State, the District of Columbia and
Maryland. She is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar
Association, Association of the Bar of the City of New York, District of Columbia Bar
Association, Maryland State Bar Association, and Bar Association of Montgomery
County.
Ms. Miller presently serves on the Board of Trustees of Georgetown Visitation
Preparatory School, located in Georgetown, Washington, D.C., and as Chair of the Board
of Directors and President of the Thomas More Society of America.
