Sanford K. Ain is a principal and co-founder of the firm. His appellate cases have created important precedents in family law in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.

Mr. Ain is a fellow of and recent counsel to the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML); current and past president of the District of Columbia Chapter of the AAML; Counsel to the Academy 2001, 2005 and 2006; Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers; and Diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers.

Mr. Ain graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1969 (B.A., cum laude) and received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1972.
