Lauren E. Shea is a principal and co-founder of the firm. The focus of her eighteen-year practice has been family law. She has been peer-rated in Washingtonian magazine as one of the top 50 divorce lawyers in the Washington, DC area and served as counsel in appellate cases involving significant family law issues.

Ms. Shea has successfully negotiated and litigated many custody, support and equitable distribution cases. Ms. Shea is admitted to the District of Columbia, Virginia and New York bars and courts. She is active in the Family Law Sections of the District of Columbia and Fairfax County Bar Associations.

Ms. Shea graduated from the University of Southern Maine (B.S., 1980); and received her law degree from the City University of New York School of Law (J.D., 1986).
